Wet Feet and Wet Brains

Sometimes I think my kids have an inability to think in the mornings. (Wonder who they get it from?) This morning I was in the shower and Seth came in to use the bathroom. He says, "Oh, I got my feet wet!!" I guess the floor was wet from Jessie's shower. So I told him to ask Daddy for some clean socks. He used the potty, went out of the bathroom and not 5 minutes later, came back to the door, and said, "are you finished yet?" and I said, "almost". He came in again! and goes, "Oh, I got my feet wet again!" I was shrilling, "Seth why didn't you put your shoes on?" He says, "I forgot." At the moment I was thinking, how could he forget that the floor was wet in 5 MINUTES? Then about 15 minutes later, I'm walking into the kitchen all dressed and ready to go, and I'm then thinking, "What did I come into the kitchen for, what do I need to get/do?" Then I realized I was looking for a blanket (I take one for Lily to cover up with in the car)...in the kitchen. I guess I need to cut us all some slack in the morning.

"The only other sound's the sweep, of easy wind and downy flake" -Robert Frost

I just heard that we might get sleet and snow on Wednesday afternoon! Apparantly I'm the last to know! Where have I been? With my head stuck in the clouds as usual, I guess. I'm excited about the snow part, but I don't want the ice to strike!! Hopefully it won't be a repeat of some of our previous ice storms...no electricity, icy roads...I was always a kid when those happened before, so it was kind of an adventure for me then. You know, doing everything by candlelight, listening to the radio...it kind of forced you to spend time with your family! Now though, being a parent (and a grown-up), it worries me! Luckily we have gas heaters, so we'll have heat regardless. No hot water or electricity would be very bad though. I hope everyone stays safe and warm.
Lily has been acting so clingy, still. When I drop her off at the babysitter's, since Friday, she's been crying and grabbing onto me so I won't leave. It's breaking my heart! :( I don't know why she's doing this all of a sudden. I asked her last night about it, but she just said she didn't want me to leave. So I don't know. I also had a talk with Seth last night...apparantly he hit a girl on the bus yesterday! A big girl (as in, an older girl) he said...apparantly he wanted to sit in a certain seat but she wouldn't move over for him so he hit her. So..we had a talk about it, so hopefully that will be that. Until the next time. No, just kidding, hopefully he will refrain from hitting girls in the future. Even big ones. :)

Nana is a sweet girl, Mama is a nice boy

Those are two comments made by my kids. The first Lily made today to my sister...Kim called her a "sweet girl" and Lily said, "You know who I think is a sweet girl? Nana." Kim immeadiately called my mom to tell her that one.
The second comment was made by Seth when he was about two years old. I wrote it in his baby book. I don't remember what I did, but it must've impressed him since he said, "Mama is a nice boy". haha
I was just in the mood for a laugh. :D

Date Night

We had an incredibly good time this Saturday. We began our date at about 3:00 p.m. or so. We went to the bowling alley first, but it was SO crowded, the lady at the desk said there were 2 birthday parties, a church group taking up 6 lanes and a tournament! So we left and wandered around, thought about going to a movie, but there were none starting for a couple of hours. So we went to Books-a-Million (one of our favorite stores!) and browsed around. At about 4:00 or so, I decided I was hungry, so we went to Applebees. Yum yum. It was incredibly delicious. Getting there so early, we didn't have to wait for a table (very nice) but by the time we left, a line had developed by the door. We left Applebees more than stuffed, and tried the bowling alley again. It was suprisingly a lot less crowded so we went in and amazingly, didn't have to wait for a lane! We bowled 3 games..I did horribly! Jessie beat me every time, haha, but only by a few points. We went and browsed around the mall after that. We bought Seth a couple of much-needed shirts (a nice date activity, huh?) because Penney's was having a pretty good sale. :) We left the mall, headed back to Amory and decided to rent a movie from Movie Gallery. We browsed that store for like an hour, and still hadn't agreed on anything! Finally, I spotted "The 40 Year Old Virgin" and Jessie agreed and we got it. Steve Carrell's face on the cover of that movie just kills me! He looks so hilarious. But...I did NOT like the movie. Upon arriving home, I noticed that we'd rented the "UNRATED" version. The language was beyond horrible. There were a few funny parts, like when Steve Carrell was trying to run away from a bus that had an ad for...something...but it had a huge picture of people about to become intimate (!) and it kept following him. haha Anyway, the language ruined it for me. It was sick, sick, sick. Jessie didn't like it either. :( Maybe if we'd seen the "rated" version it wouldn't have been so bad. Anyway, that was our date in a nutshell. It was a LOT of fun, we really enjoyed being together, and it was nice to have a kidless evening.

The funniest date moment of the evening:
At the bowling alley, we bowled beside a family with 2 sons (one named Jesse!) and the younger son, about 13, took his turn to bowl. I looked up, about to take my turn, and in the next lane, I saw the boy's bowling ball rolling BACK to him, up the lane!! It was SO funny, his dad goes, "I've never seen one come back before!!" I don't know how he managed that. haha
*Another funny moment occured when I threw the bowling ball so forcefully, my fingers almost got stuck and I almost rolled down the lane with it. :)

TGIF ("boom boom boom boom")

Last night was tv bliss for me. Two episodes of The Office! It would've been better if they were new episodes, but reruns are good too.
This morning I had a heartbreaking experience. When I dropped Lily off at the babysitter's, I hugged and kissed her as usual, wished her a good day and told her I loved her. Then she sort of followed me to the door and just stood there quietly. I say "Bye" in my most cheerful morning voice and went out. Then she just stood there, by the door, with this pitifully sad look on her face!! I waved again and she waved and I said "I love you" and turned around and kept walking. I wanted SO bad to go back and scoop her up and cuddle her, but I knew I might not ever get away then. When I turned around again, she was gone from the door. It just makes me feel like a CREEP, like an awful parent when these things happen. I want to be home with the kids, but I have to work just to cover our bills. I've struggled with this issue ever since I started working and I still haven't found an answer I'm satisfied with. Anyway...Lily has lots of friends at daycare and she usually tells me about the fun she's had playing with them, so that is a little comforting. I know she's not miserable there, I guess she just misses me. And I miss her. And Seth. But poor Seth has at least a 12 year prison sentence - school! (just kidding!)
Speaking of Seth, he's at the doctor this morning. The Cough has come back, and with a vengeance. So I'm waiting to hear what the doctor says. I think Jessie's dad (Papa) is there with him.
I'm still excited for this weekend! I guess if Seth is contagious we won't get to go out though. I don't much think he is...he seems to feel fine, its just that horrible cough. Anyway, we'll see. We're going to do something fun, no matter what, even if its staying at home and having a candlelight dinner (thanks for the suggestion, Amber). If we go out though, we may go to Applebees...mmm. I still don't know about the entertainment aspect of the date, but I don't really care what we do, it'll be great to go OUT! If we get to, that is. :)

I sing the songs that make the whole world sing!

The radio in the morning...sucks. Here are the songs I heard this morning. I'm sorry if you like these - some I used to like - but this morning they annoyed me to no end.
-"Crush" -by Jennifer somebody ("It's just...a little crush!")
-a very peppy Dave Matthews song ("Take these chances!!!" or something)
-"I Remember You" by Skid Row which was followed by "Round and Round" by Ratt - very 80's
-That song that they play on the TGI Friday commercial (or is it the Chili's commercial?) that goes "boom boom boom boom" haha

I don't have a tape or cd player, so I'm at the mercy of the radio and the radio is very...unappealing in the morning. Sometimes I'm in the mood for the "talk" shows, like Johnboy and Billy, but usually I just want to hear music! They did play one great song "It's too late" by Carole King, so that appeased me. haha Sorry, I know I'm being ridiculous!!

I have many new kindergarten projects to work on! haha The first being a Valentine box for Seth. That one should be easy. The next is an Indian costume...they're going to do a play and Seth is going to be an Indian! I'm beside myself with anticipation! haha It'll be so cute to see him on stage. His part to say, or sing rather, is "One little, two little, three little Indians, etc.". And he already knows his part! What a brilliant child! haha I'm hoping we can borrow a video camera to capture these moments. Part of me wonders if he'll get stage fright. Hopefully not. But he sort of gets embarrassed easily. Hopefully he'll breeze right through it, though.

Our budget is going well so far. I got paid yesterday so I can at least say I haven't had time to mess it up yet! Jessie's really, really serious about it. So I'm going to be too. He's convinced we'll be rich by the time we're 70, haha! Too bad we have to wait that long!

Who wants to go to Ireland with me?

View of the two towers, from the top of Blaney Castle.Co Cork, Ireland.

Isn't that a beautiful picture? I'd love to go to Ireland one day. It looks like a fairy tale, I guess that's why I am so drawn to it. If I could paint, I think I would paint pictures like this!

Not much happening today. I got my exercise bike yesterday!!! It came from a yard sale place for $20 and I pedaled my heart out last night! Jessie tried to put it outside when I was done ("We don't have any room in the house for it!") but I protectively put my arms around it and said, "I'll find a place!...Tomorrow". So it's sitting in the living room right now, grandly taking up space. I consider it a friend now, you know, its going to help me lose weight. I couldn't let it be put outside! I know, I'm weird. I really just didn't want it to be out there exposed to the elements. :P

I'm looking forward to this weekend. (Do I say that every week?) I think Jessie and I are going to go out on a "date"! We haven't gone out (besides having lunch or something) in a while without the kids, so I'm excited. I'm not sure where we're going to go yet. Last night we were trying to think of places to go, but there just weren't that many options. Bowling, putt-putt golf (too cold), movie (mmm don't really want to do that), going out to eat (of course)...am I just being unimaginative? Or is bowling the only activity there is? I love bowling, don't get me wrong, but there's got to be something else to do too. Anyway, we'll think of something. I think the kids are going to stay with Jessie's sister, Jennifer, so they'll have a fun time too, playing with their wild cousins.

Well, I'm off to eat breakfast. My stomach is becoming more and more demanding as I type!

Toy frenzy

I am so cold today and I cannot warm up!! I'm finally beginning to thaw out. It's such a yucky, rainy morning. Blah. Anyway, enough weather-bashing. This weekend was good. Lily had a really good party. Her cake was SO cute. Jessie's dad is supposed to give me a cd of pictures at some point of the party, so *maybe* I can actually post some soon! Yay! She got SO much stuff. Here are a few of the gifts she got: a baby Cabbage Patch doll, a cute little pink dress (Mom calls it a jumper, I call it a dress haha), a Capricorn Barbie, a Barbie with a hair streaker (!! Jessie hated that..it can streak the Barbie's hair 3 different colors and do people hair too! We tried it out yesterday, but Lily's hair's so dark you could barely see it! oh well), a backpack for the Barbies, and I'm probably boring you. She got two sleeping bags, haha, she's slept in them both already (in her bed).
She had $40 on a Walmart card, and being the kind of person that money burns a hole in my pocket, when we went grocery shopping yesterday, I let her use it. I probably should've told her to save part of it, but I guess my brain was muddled or something. My only requirements were that she get a pair of jeans (sorely needed) and that she get something she didn't already have (like marker sets she wanted and such things). Seth was at his grandmother's and Jessie was on the grocery side, so it was just Mama and Lily, set loose in Walmart with a $40 gift card! (haha) Well, she wanted about everything, of course, but what caught her eye was a Genivieve Barbie doll and she stuck to that decision like glue. Then we saw the Bella Dancerella ballet mat, barre and DVD set (yes Amber I let her get it, and yes, I agree, the songs are very annoying). You should see her doing the ballet though! It is so so cute. Anyway, then we got a pair of jeans and the money was spent. Wonderfully enough, everything except the jeans was on sale. All the toys were on sale. So now Lily's room looks like she could open a toy store, and she is having a ball. Seth is too (don't feel sorry for Seth, his room rivals Lily's) and don't think I'm the one that buys them enough toys to open up a toy store!! (Although I did contribute) Relatives say, and I quote, "I want to buy him/her "at least" one toy!!" So we just try to jump in there, encourage the kids to share and not to be selfish, and clean out their rooms every now and then to donate toys to the Salvation army among other things. What's sad is, as they get older, the "toys" get more expensive, so they better enjoy this while they can! :P

Shut up Bernie, just shut up!

Haha, that comes from one of my favorite Andy Griffith episodes, as I'm sure you probably knew. The one with "the girls"...the one goofy, giggly, high pitched girl, and the other with the impossibly deep voice, "Hii, dooollll" haha. It came on last night when I got home from work. I love Andy Griffith! I also love the part where Andy gets aggravated with Barney and HE tells him" Shut up Bernie, just shut up!"
Also on television last night, was The Office. It was SO funny. If you don't watch it you really should. It might take a few episodes to get into it, but it is so hilarious! There's this one annoying guy, Andy, who recorded himself doing 4 harmonizing parts of "Rockin' Robin" on his cell phone (using his computer) and he ended up annoying everyone so much on the show last night, that they played a prank on him. Jim and Pam (the romantic leads!) swiped his cell phone and Jim lifted up a panel in the ceiling, threw the cell phone in it so it landed sort of over Andy's head and kept calling his cell phone! So over the whole show, you kept hearing Andy's voice(s) singing "Tweedle deedle dee, Tweedle, deedle dee, Tweedle deedle dee!" It was SO funny. It eventually made him so crazily mad that he punched a hole in the wall. Those are just some of The Office antics. It's an awesome show.
Oh, to change the subject, Jessie and I -well, mostly Jessie- made up a budget last night. It probably comes as no suprise to anyone that we constantly have money problems, so last night we sat down and said, "ok let's work this out." And I was AMAZED that we had money , after bills and our tithes are paid, left to put aside for car repair, clothing, savings and (my favorite) fun.(!) Not a lot, mind you, but something's better than nothing. I told Jessie he should become an accountant or something. We've decided, especially with the "fun" money -and some of the other categories-, to have an allotted amount and once its gone for the month, it's gone. So that way we won't overspend on eating out or whatever it is all our money goes to. I really think it will work, and I'm so excited. I've never been this excited about a budget before! But it'll be really great not to have to worry, "Do we have enough to cover this, or that?" you know what I mean.
Tomorrow is the big birthday bash. Last night Jessie and I also sat down and wrote down all of the people who might be coming, including ourselves and the kids. It came to 35! And its all family! Yikes. But I don't think everyone we wrote will be coming. Aunt Daphne, are you coming? Amber said you probably won't, but that Emily might. I'm not sure about Jessie's cousins either. Anyway, it'll be fun. Lots of chaos, haha. So, its promising to be a busy weekend. I hope everyone else has a great weekend. :)

The Space Shot

Here's a summary of that scary-beyond-all-reaon ride I rode at the Space Center. It was called the "Space Shot". !!!

"Space Shot - What does a rocket launch really feel like? Three, two, one, liftoff!

-Rocket 140ft straight up in 2.5 seconds.
-4 G's of force on launch!
-2 - 3 seconds of weightlessness out of your seat then a 1 G free fall!
-You must be 54 in tall to ride. "

I get this apprehensive "floaty" feeling when I think about it. Scary!

Sitting down for my first Thanksgiving dinner with Squanto

This is too funny not to share. Obviously, during Thanksgiving, Seth learned about the Pilgrims and Indians in school, and the first Thanksgiving. We've discussed it a little bit, but last night, it was apparantly on his mind again. He looks at me with the most serious face, and says,

"Mama, were you a Pilgrim?"

I sit there -caught in between shock and laughter- and say, "no!" And Jessie, trying to stifle his laughter says, "Seth, some of our relatives from a long time ago were Indians!" and at the same time Seth is asking me,

"Well were you an Indian?"

So Jessie and I are both cracking up at this point and he tries to explain to Seth again that it was a long time ago and I say it was "before any of us were ever born" but Seth insists, "but I was born" and I say "no baby, it was before any of us were born!" He finally understood I guess, but I couldn't get the image out of my head of me in a long brown dress sitting down at a wooden table with turkey and vegetables spread out before me. Haha!
Its amazing how little of a concept of time Seth has. He's getting better. If I say something will happen "in a few days" and show him on the calendar, he gets it. But he obviously -already- thinks I am Really Old!

Is it a sign?

Some beautiful dahlias!

Remember how I said I loved the name Dahlia earlier? Well, this morning someone came into the library and requested the book Matilda by the author Roald Dahl (one of my favorite books growing up, incidentally). Then, later, someone checked out a book called Blue Dahlia. Is this a sign or just me being overly eager to read it that way? haha

Back again

I was once again quarantined to my home and shunned by the outside world because of the little gross things that I'm tired of talking about! Its good to be back! Although it was so neat to be able to spend lots of time with the kids! Yesterday I washed and washed and washed clothes and the pile has actually lessened, thank goodness! I went to the doctor yesterday and was "cleared of pediculosis" - the fancy way of saying there are no live thingies in my hair. We didn't actually quarantine ourselves the whole time... on what was kind of a whim (I haven't lost all of my spontaneity!) Jessie, the kids and I went up to Huntsville, AL on Saturday to the Space Center. It was very cool. We saw all kinds of awesome space stuff and the kids and I rode that "Mission to Mars" ride, which was a lot of fun, but word to the wise. Do NOT sit in the very back, because that's where the VERY loud speakers are, and more importantly, DO NOT sit in the front, no matter how much your son begs you too, because the screen is REALLY close and if you're prone to motion sickness (like me) it will definitely get you headed in that direction. (The ride, by the way, is one where you get in the "capsule" and it rocks back and forth as you watch the screen and feel like you're going on a ride...we were on Mars and went on a Martian roller coaster! it was fun!) But I was SICK by the time we left. It was my fault though. My brilliant self saw this other ride...I can't remember the name of it. But it was one of those rides that you sit in seats and it goes straight up...REALLY FAST! and then drops back down, really fast. It was supposed to give you the feeling of weightlessness and buddy, it did. I thought I was going to go hurtling through space!! lol you should've heard my blood-curdling scream! I was SO dizzy when I got off. Jessie thought it was pretty funny. haha
In other news, when I was at the doctor Monday, I was reading a story in a magazine about a girl named Dahlia...and it struck me that that was such a beautiful name. It so happened that Jessie walked in then, and I showed him the name and asked him what he thought of it, expecting him to not like it, because we can't agree on ANY names...but he liked it!!!!!!!! So I'm still contemplating the baby issue..I just don't know what to do. My thing is, if I have a baby, I want to stay home with it for at least a year or two. I don't know if we can afford to, though, that's the problem. So I've been trying to think of ways to cut back on costs of living...not easy! I'm going to make a list when I get a chance and really try to think about it. Any advice on anything is appreciated! Sorry I've been so longwinded in this post, I guess there's a lot on my mind today.
Oh one more thing. My Lily turned 5 on Sunday!! I asked her not to turn 5, but she said she "had to". haha She looks so little when I look at her as a "five-year-old". Emily said on the phone the other day, "You may as well go ahead and have another baby. Seth and Lily are 5 and 6." And I was stunned by the truth of that statement! And then my sister so graciously said yesterday, "They're not babies anymore, they're kids!" But I want a baby with fat cheeks! My cheek squeezing days are numbered!

There's no business like snow business

"It may not snow,
not even a flake,
but one thing's for sure,
we'll all eat cake."
(from: http://www.coolest-kid-birthday-parties.com/christmas-party-ideas.html)

If I was sending out invitations to Lily's birthday party, that's what they'd say! Isn't that cute? (I don't usually send out invitations. I tried one year, but usually we just end up calling everybody anyway..)
Sarah graciously helped me cut out lots of little snowflakes a little while ago, and they're so cute! I was planning on cutting them out with the kids, but after I started messing them up, I thought it might be best to just let them color them for now. haha I might take a couple for them to do anyway. I'm excited to do a penguin party...its different. I get to play with it a bit.

The day that would not pass by

It's been a slow, slow day today. :( I'm glad I'm off tomorrow. I think I'm going to clean, and make snowflakes with the kids. haha Lily's having a birthday party soon. Oh, which brings me to this scary, but true, fact. LILY IS TURNING FIVE ON SUNDAY!!! :( My BABY, my youngest child, will be FIVE! Wah! I just can't believe it. I'll try to settle down now. But it really astounds me that she is five already! Anyway...ahem. Her birthday party. She's having a penguin birthday party. In honor of that movie "Happy Feet" which none of us have seen. Haha really we just needed a theme and she's done all the others: princesses, Tinkerbell, Strawberry Shortcake, Dora...all the others that Wal-mart has for girls anyway. So she saw the "Happy Feet" stuff, and decided it would be penguins this year. Oh by the way, the tentative date for her party is going to be the 20th, a Saturday. Anyhoo, I'm printing off snowflake patterns off the internet so the kids and I can cut out snowflakes to decorate with. I thought that'd be cute instead of streamers. I may end up doing most of them though. Especially since I only know where one pair of scissors are at home. At least I think I know where they are. I've got Lily a necklace, its so cute, its a little silver necklace with a cat pendant. She wants just about everything she sees in Walmart, so finding her another something shouldn't be too hard. But NO Bratz. Yech. She will never recieve a Bratz from my hand. They are SO ugly, I don't even know why she likes them. Well, I do know, its because all the other kids have them and think they're "Cool" blah blah blah. She's 5 and if she wants another doll it'll be a Barbie with clothes that provide some coverage! I'm done ranting now.
To change the subject, I can't believe its 2007. What in the world? How did we get so far into the 2000s? I've been writing the date correctly so far, but I'm bound to slip up soon. It feels unnatural to write a 7 instead of a 6! I'm trying to stay a kid, yet keep up with my adult responsibilites. Some people still think of us 20-somethings as kids. (thank you!) I really like it when people mistake me for a teenager! :) That lets me know that I have truly entered adulthood. :O

Monday, January 08, 2007

I don't really have anything new to say, I've just missed my blog so much I must write in it! (haha) Despite the lack of sleep from last night, I've managed to stay in a good mood today. :D I'm happy because we're going to play "Clue" tonight again too. ha Last night when we were playing Seth kept asking me questions like, "Is that a weapon?" (pointing to the candlestick) "What is that? How is it a weapon?" So I picked it up and tried to bop him on the head with it. He thought that was funny and I successfully deflected a (if you think about it) kind of unpleasant question yet answered it at the same time! Just my whacko way of parenting, I guess. haha I think tonight we might play after the kids have gone to bed. They do NOT like being left out of the fun anyway. I'm also looking forward to eating Jessie's chili. "The fam" as Amber likes to call our family sometimes, is staying for supper tonight (really only Kim, Becca and Leia) - lol and Amber you're weird! But I wish you were coming too! -so we're having chili, a treat that pleases all, and makes enough to feed all. AND hopefully we can get our heater restarted tonight (it went out last night) or we'll all BE chilly. haha cheesy right?
I'm hungry now thinking about it. All these mentions of food. Why does food seem to dominate at least my every other thought? LOL remember in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the old (best) version with Gene Wilder) when Augustus was being interviewed after finding a Golden Ticket and someone puts the microphone in front of his dad (who's eating) and his dad just chomps the top of the microphone off and eats it?? hahaha I feel like that guy sometimes!

I'm back!

Yay I'm back among the living! I'm sure everyone's heard about my family's affliction this past week. We were plagued with lice. (shudder) I think we finally got rid of those annoying things. Its been a long and arduous week. Friday, I finally took Lily and myself to the doctor and he gave us a prescription for this stuff, Ovide, which smelled like gasoline, but it did the trick. It smelled SO bad though, Lily and I had to sit outside for about two hours Friday night to air our heads out. Yech. Then we had to sleep in it! I'm thankful we toughed it out though. Our heads are still a little itchy, but we've been combing through them every night and there's nothing still (ew) living there, so I'm very glad.
I had a great New Year's weekend though, before the week of horrors began. We stayed home and did absolutely nothing on Saturday, then Sunday afternoon, we went bowling and it was so much fun! We bowled with the bumpers, of course, and it was so funny, because Lily could barely lift the bowling ball. Seth did really well, but he was mad that he didn't get the most points haha. And Monday...I can't really remember what we did. I think we went grocery shopping...exciting. It was so nice to just lay around and do nothing though. And then Tuesday morning, the endless hair and clothes washing began. I thought my washing machine would rebel and fall to pieces on me. Yesterday was the first day anyone dared to enter our house. Amber, Kim and Becca came over, but Amber wouldn't even sit on the couch haha. I can't say I blame her. After Amber left, Kim, Becca, Jessie and I played Clue, it had been so long none of us could remember how to play it (I gave it to Jessie for Christmas). It was fun though, after we played a couple of games, we started playing with the figures (Mrs. Scarlet, Prof. Plum, etc.) making them chase each other around with the weapons. I know, we're weird.
And the kids all started back to school today! I really felt very sorry for them. I know how I used to feel when school started back after a vacation...glum. Oh, I FINALLY took down my Christmas tree Saturday too, and I guess Laura must be rubbing off on me, because I wasn't really sad to take it down, I was actually glad to have the extra space! Jessie went to Piggly Wiggly and rented one of those steam cleaners for the carpet, so now we have freshly cleaned carpet. So nice. The kids were quite the comedians this past week too. Let me share a couple of their quips.
-Lily was looking at an "American Pride" calendar at a picture where the sun was setting and the scene looked kind of desert-ish. She told Seth: "I'm going to send you to America where it's hot and there's no people!"
-Seth(I don't know how this conversation started) said: "I've seen the biggest feet in the world. Cause that's what Daddy has."

Those were my favorites. Haha!
