Waterlillyes

A slightly crazy 25 year old with a great husband and two wonderful kids. The only reason one would want to read my inner thoughts is complete boredom or unconditional love.

Back again

I was once again quarantined to my home and shunned by the outside world because of the little gross things that I'm tired of talking about! Its good to be back! Although it was so neat to be able to spend lots of time with the kids! Yesterday I washed and washed and washed clothes and the pile has actually lessened, thank goodness! I went to the doctor yesterday and was "cleared of pediculosis" - the fancy way of saying there are no live thingies in my hair. We didn't actually quarantine ourselves the whole time... on what was kind of a whim (I haven't lost all of my spontaneity!) Jessie, the kids and I went up to Huntsville, AL on Saturday to the Space Center. It was very cool. We saw all kinds of awesome space stuff and the kids and I rode that "Mission to Mars" ride, which was a lot of fun, but word to the wise. Do NOT sit in the very back, because that's where the VERY loud speakers are, and more importantly, DO NOT sit in the front, no matter how much your son begs you too, because the screen is REALLY close and if you're prone to motion sickness (like me) it will definitely get you headed in that direction. (The ride, by the way, is one where you get in the "capsule" and it rocks back and forth as you watch the screen and feel like you're going on a ride...we were on Mars and went on a Martian roller coaster! it was fun!) But I was SICK by the time we left. It was my fault though. My brilliant self saw this other ride...I can't remember the name of it. But it was one of those rides that you sit in seats and it goes straight up...REALLY FAST! and then drops back down, really fast. It was supposed to give you the feeling of weightlessness and buddy, it did. I thought I was going to go hurtling through space!! lol you should've heard my blood-curdling scream! I was SO dizzy when I got off. Jessie thought it was pretty funny. haha
In other news, when I was at the doctor Monday, I was reading a story in a magazine about a girl named Dahlia...and it struck me that that was such a beautiful name. It so happened that Jessie walked in then, and I showed him the name and asked him what he thought of it, expecting him to not like it, because we can't agree on ANY names...but he liked it!!!!!!!! So I'm still contemplating the baby issue..I just don't know what to do. My thing is, if I have a baby, I want to stay home with it for at least a year or two. I don't know if we can afford to, though, that's the problem. So I've been trying to think of ways to cut back on costs of living...not easy! I'm going to make a list when I get a chance and really try to think about it. Any advice on anything is appreciated! Sorry I've been so longwinded in this post, I guess there's a lot on my mind today.
Oh one more thing. My Lily turned 5 on Sunday!! I asked her not to turn 5, but she said she "had to". haha She looks so little when I look at her as a "five-year-old". Emily said on the phone the other day, "You may as well go ahead and have another baby. Seth and Lily are 5 and 6." And I was stunned by the truth of that statement! And then my sister so graciously said yesterday, "They're not babies anymore, they're kids!" But I want a baby with fat cheeks! My cheek squeezing days are numbered!

Hey, I'm glad you're back at work, I was needing a blog to read, LOL. Anyway, I don't really have any advice about the money situation. All I know is what people have told us. You'll never have any kids if you wait 'til you can afford them. So, what we have found out is that you always find a way to make it, no matter what the cost. So, I guess what I'm saying is, if you really want to have another baby, you'll find a way to afford it. :) Where's Laura today?

Happy Birthday Lily! She was so sweet on the phone the other day. I'm glad you had a getaway this weekend. You deserved it! (Stinks you got sick though!)
