I'm back!
Yay I'm back among the living! I'm sure everyone's heard about my family's affliction this past week. We were plagued with lice. (shudder) I think we finally got rid of those annoying things. Its been a long and arduous week. Friday, I finally took Lily and myself to the doctor and he gave us a prescription for this stuff, Ovide, which smelled like gasoline, but it did the trick. It smelled SO bad though, Lily and I had to sit outside for about two hours Friday night to air our heads out. Yech. Then we had to sleep in it! I'm thankful we toughed it out though. Our heads are still a little itchy, but we've been combing through them every night and there's nothing still (ew) living there, so I'm very glad.
I had a great New Year's weekend though, before the week of horrors began. We stayed home and did absolutely nothing on Saturday, then Sunday afternoon, we went bowling and it was so much fun! We bowled with the bumpers, of course, and it was so funny, because Lily could barely lift the bowling ball. Seth did really well, but he was mad that he didn't get the most points haha. And Monday...I can't really remember what we did. I think we went grocery shopping...exciting. It was so nice to just lay around and do nothing though. And then Tuesday morning, the endless hair and clothes washing began. I thought my washing machine would rebel and fall to pieces on me. Yesterday was the first day anyone dared to enter our house. Amber, Kim and Becca came over, but Amber wouldn't even sit on the couch haha. I can't say I blame her. After Amber left, Kim, Becca, Jessie and I played Clue, it had been so long none of us could remember how to play it (I gave it to Jessie for Christmas). It was fun though, after we played a couple of games, we started playing with the figures (Mrs. Scarlet, Prof. Plum, etc.) making them chase each other around with the weapons. I know, we're weird.
And the kids all started back to school today! I really felt very sorry for them. I know how I used to feel when school started back after a vacation...glum. Oh, I FINALLY took down my Christmas tree Saturday too, and I guess Laura must be rubbing off on me, because I wasn't really sad to take it down, I was actually glad to have the extra space! Jessie went to Piggly Wiggly and rented one of those steam cleaners for the carpet, so now we have freshly cleaned carpet. So nice. The kids were quite the comedians this past week too. Let me share a couple of their quips.
-Lily was looking at an "American Pride" calendar at a picture where the sun was setting and the scene looked kind of desert-ish. She told Seth: "I'm going to send you to America where it's hot and there's no people!"
-Seth(I don't know how this conversation started) said: "I've seen the biggest feet in the world. Cause that's what Daddy has."
Those were my favorites. Haha!

Welcome back! Amber said your house looks really nice! Which goes to show, there is something good that comes out of everything. Maybe I need lice-NOT1 But I do need my carpet cleaned! And my whole house. I'm glad to have you back! Aunt Daphne
You didn't mention them getting married at the park! That's so cute!
Ooh... mama you're jinxing yourself! LOL! My head has been itching reading this blog.. I am so paranoid. Hope you weren't offended I didn't sit on your couch, Andrea. I just don't want your bugs :)
Haha oh yeah, I forgot about Seth and Lily "getting married" at the park. I told them that was where Papa and Granny got married (Jessie's dad and stepmom) and so Lily said, "Seth, wanna marry me" and he kind of shrugs and is like "Sure". Lol so they walked down the aisle together, it was so funny. Oh yeah Amber thanks. I'm SO offended you didn't sit on my buggy couch! Lol like I said, I don't blame you, I wouldn't want your bugs either! lol
I'm glad you're back! I know it must've been awful. I'm glad you had a good New Years too!...even if you did have a bad week after that!
How cute! I think it's funny how Seth just went along with it. I guess he'll be doing that for years. I always wanted a big brother! Aunt Daphne
