The day that would not pass by
It's been a slow, slow day today. :( I'm glad I'm off tomorrow. I think I'm going to clean, and make snowflakes with the kids. haha Lily's having a birthday party soon. Oh, which brings me to this scary, but true, fact. LILY IS TURNING FIVE ON SUNDAY!!! :( My BABY, my youngest child, will be FIVE! Wah! I just can't believe it. I'll try to settle down now. But it really astounds me that she is five already! Anyway...ahem. Her birthday party. She's having a penguin birthday party. In honor of that movie "Happy Feet" which none of us have seen. Haha really we just needed a theme and she's done all the others: princesses, Tinkerbell, Strawberry Shortcake, Dora...all the others that Wal-mart has for girls anyway. So she saw the "Happy Feet" stuff, and decided it would be penguins this year. Oh by the way, the tentative date for her party is going to be the 20th, a Saturday. Anyhoo, I'm printing off snowflake patterns off the internet so the kids and I can cut out snowflakes to decorate with. I thought that'd be cute instead of streamers. I may end up doing most of them though. Especially since I only know where one pair of scissors are at home. At least I think I know where they are. I've got Lily a necklace, its so cute, its a little silver necklace with a cat pendant. She wants just about everything she sees in Walmart, so finding her another something shouldn't be too hard. But NO Bratz. Yech. She will never recieve a Bratz from my hand. They are SO ugly, I don't even know why she likes them. Well, I do know, its because all the other kids have them and think they're "Cool" blah blah blah. She's 5 and if she wants another doll it'll be a Barbie with clothes that provide some coverage! I'm done ranting now.
To change the subject, I can't believe its 2007. What in the world? How did we get so far into the 2000s? I've been writing the date correctly so far, but I'm bound to slip up soon. It feels unnatural to write a 7 instead of a 6! I'm trying to stay a kid, yet keep up with my adult responsibilites. Some people still think of us 20-somethings as kids. (thank you!) I really like it when people mistake me for a teenager! :) That lets me know that I have truly entered adulthood. :O

Be glad the day is passing by so slow! The sooner tomorrow comes, the older you (and Lily) will be! HA HA! You can always count on me for comforting thoughts!
Hanging out with Becca the other night, I began to remember what it felt like to be 16. In fact, I might as well have been 16! It was great! We even went to Applebee's and some guys in the parking lot thought we were both under 18! YESSSS! Woohoo!
Talk to ya later.
Love, Your 16 year old cousin Amber
