Can I just go back to bed, please?

It's been one of those mornings. You know what I mean, the kind where nothing seems to go right! I was running late, I kept tripping over things, I set down my lunchbox on a hot stove eye (it melted part of the bottom and the strap!), and things just kept happening. ;P Hopefully the rest of the day will go better.
I did have a good weekend, on a more positive note. We went to the movies in Aberdeen on Friday night, at their little theater. It was just a cute little place! It's on Main Street, and its SO much cheaper than going to the movies, at, say, the mall. Tickets were $4 and all the concessions (popcorn, drinks, etc.) were $1 apiece! The movie we saw was pretty good. Mandy Moore is a really good actress. I thought Diane Keaton was a bit overdramatic in many, many scenes, but that seems to be her usual way. :P (Don't tell my sister I said that! She's a BIG Diane Keaton fan). It was a cute movie, overall, though. Jessie didn't like it, but I figured as much. He was a good sport though, and we did have fun. Leia and her friend Lelah ended up watching Seth and Lily, and I must say, they did an excellent job! I was proud.
Saturday we went to clean out the RC office...Jessie's taken this on so we can bring in a little extra money. Twice a month we have to clean the office...which, its a small office, so it kind of seems like easy money. BUT...this time we earned our money. That floor was SO greasy...we started off using their string mop, and after going over a small section of the floor with it and swishing it in the bucket, it turned the water black! So Jessie tried to spray the mop out to get it clean and the stringy part fell off the mop! I ended up having to go to Dollar General to get a new mop, haha. We sprayed so many different kind of degreasers on the floor it was pitiful. And the walls were all marked up with black marks...sigh. It ended up looking pretty good, but it took a while. Hopefully it won't be back to that next time we do it. :)
And we DID go to Sam's too. :) Lily was acting strange though, saying that the store was "scary". haha! Kids are so weird sometimes! I guess it just looked different to her. I love Sams though...we bought so much cereal that I told Jessie we ought to open a cereal bar.
And Sunday Jessie came down with strep throat. :( He started feeling bad in church, and when we got home he was burning up with fever. I made him go to the doctor and sure enough, he has strep throat...his fever keeps going up and down, but hasn't broken completely yet. Poor thing, he's miserable. I just hope the kids don't get it! Yesterday Lily said, "Daddy, no kissing!" haha. And Seth is getting the cough again. I was rummaging through our medicine basket this morning, looking for one of our thousands of bottles of cough medicine and found none! I sweetly said, "Jessie, where did you put all the cough medicine?" and he hoarsely replied, "I guess I threw them all out when I was cleaning.."
I kept thinking to myself (as I was feeling a little annoyed and crabby this morning) "Don't get mad at him, he's sick, don't get mad at him, he's sick"...
I don't know WHAT possessed him to throw out all that perfectly good cough medicine, though! We had some OTC and some prescription too, as Seth gets sick a lot. Anyway, I'll probably end up taking Sethie to the doctor soon too...hopefully it won't be for strep throat though. :)
It is a beautiful day though...the sun is shining and its supposed to go from bone-chillingly cold to warm and pleasant. So hope everyone (including myself) has a good day today. :)

That's bad about Jessie being sick. I hope he feels better soon, and Seth too.
Well...what was the name of that movie? If you already said, I forgot! LOL, sorry.

Good morning! I hope Jessie and Seth will soon be better. Strep throat makes you feel SO BAD. And coughing makes you feel exhausted.
Datwin and I went to the see that same movie Saturday afternoon. I thought it was pretty good. Diane Keaton is not my favorite actress, but she's okay. Her part reminded me alot of the last movie I saw her in - the one with Jack Nicholson a couple of years ago. Saturday was Datwin & my 7th anniversary And I totally never even thought of it! At work, I am still doing month end entries for February and although I did a deposit on 3/2 and was aware that 3/4 was the date Mrs. Nancy that I work with's husband was killed and that it was coming up Sunday, the date March 3rd had never entered my head. I really think Datwin had forgotten, Too. He said that he was seeing if I remembered! HA! Like I believe that! Anyway, Emily came over and about three in the afternoon when she was leaving, she said "Oh, by the way, you guys, Happy Anniversary." I know the look on my face was total shock! So we went to the movie at 4:00 and then went Longhorn for steaks. Yum!-Aunt DAphne

haha Happy Anniversary!!! I'm glad you got to celebrate it even though you almost forgot it! I thought the same thing about Diane Keaton...her performance was alot like it was in "Something's Gotta Give" - crazy and emotional! She just had SO MANY of those scenes, I thought it was a bit over the top.
Did Datwin like the movie? Jessie turned his nose up at it!

I think Datwin liked it okay. He liked "Somethings Gotta Give", too, and they just kinda seemed alike to me. Mandy Moore is pretty. In one scene, her face reminded me of Jennifer Lopez, who I also think is pretty. Aunt Daphne Sorry my comment was so long. I hope it doesn't take up all the space.

I'm glad you had a good weekend! I think I'll probably wait and see the movie when it comes out on DVD. I hope your husband and little boy feel better soon. It's miserable when you have sick ones! And I hope your day is better than it started out being!

I know how you feel about the thrown-away cough syrup. Chuck does the same thing when he's cleaning or at other times. The other day he found out his potassium is high so he threw away some chocolate cookies he had bought - almost a full box. When I saw them in the garbage can, I told him I would have eaten them even though they were sugar-free. He said he didn't think I would want them.
I hope the rest of your day goes better. At least it's a beautiful day outside - that always makes me feel better.
Love, Mom

Rebecca has that cough too! I guess maybe you know that by now. She was miserable by the time we got home last night! I'm so tired!

I would be mad about thrown-away medicine too! It's always nice to have a supply on hand. Danielle is STOCKED-UP! Becca is so weird! Danielle gave her a whole box of these neat little yummy cough drops and she hardly even used them! Then she left them in my car! Once I was on the phone w/ Danielle as Becca hoarsely-barked in the background, and Danielle was like "I gave her cough drops, tell her to USE THEM!" lol! Weirdo!

Why are men compelled to throw out perfectly good useable items? I have no idea how much cough syrup we had, but as much as Seth gets sick, I bet it was a lot. Crazy men!
It seems like everyone around the globe is sick, getting sick, or has recently been sick. Funny that Becca didn't use those cough drops. I eat those like candy. Especially the yummy ones!
Aunt Daphne, my favorite part of that movie was when the balloon got stuck to the back of Milly's dress from all the static cling. Wasn't that hilarious?

Yes, and she was so oblivious to the whole thing, She probably wondered what the can of static cling was for. Aunt Daphne
