Hmmm
I looked up the name "Maeve" on www.babynames.com and it is, in fact, of Celtic/Gaelic origin. It's meaning? Intoxicating. Would I be asking for trouble there? haha
"Lydia" is Greek. Hmm...the meaning just says "from Lydia in Greece." I want a second opinion. Ok, www.babycenter.com says "Lydia" means beauty. Ahh. And "Maeve"? Goddess. Wow. Another name I like is Melody. Sounds musical, doesn't it? But Jessie doesn't like it...or Emma, or Isabelle, or Bella...or anything!
I realize I probably sound crazy for constantly talking about baby names when I'm not even planning to get pregnant. Its just a topic I love thinking (and talking) about. Its something to daydream about. :)
If I had to think of boy names, I think I'd be stuck. Jessie and I certainly can't agree on boy names. But if we did have a second son, part of his name would probably be John. After my grandaddy and Jessie's dad. A year or two ago, Jessie and I agreed that we both really liked the name John Audie...and we'd call him Audie. But now it doesn't appeal to me anymore. It's cute...but my mind changed, and Jessie won't let it go! Hmph...men. He apparantly doesn't know that you can't go with a first choice! You have to exhaust all possibilities with something as important as a name! haha or maybe its just me! But I do like the names Noah...and Jonah (sensing a Biblical pattern here?)...But neither of them seem to go with John. John Jonah? ("John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt!") I'll just let the subject rest for now. :)

I like John, too! And I know Daddy would be proud! And I'm sure Jessie's Daddy will be, too! I'm sure you will be able to come up with something when the time comes. Can you believe that James & I never agreed on a name for Carrie until after she was born? I liked Olivia England or Bethany Lianna. I still do actually. - Aunt Daphne
Those are pretty names. I especially like Olivia (Kelly's daughter's name!) I guess husbands and wives usually have trouble agreeing on a name. I don't remember how long it took us to settle on Lily's name. And if I'd had a hand in naming Seth his name would probably be totally different!
How old is Kelly's daughter? Just curious. It seems like we kinda know each other from your blogs. England was Mama's maiden name (I know you know that, but everybody else doesn't). Are you coming to Noelle's party? Aunt Daphne
I like John too. Our preacher and his wife named their new baby John Riley and they're calling him that. I think that's becoming a trend. Lacey knew a girl named Anna Lauren - she called her Anna and the girl snapped, it's not Anna! It's Anna Lauren! LOL
Laura says that Olivia is 2 and Madison is 1 year old. Yes, I'm coming to Noelle's party. It'll be a family reunion! I wonder if Jody knows about it.
England would've been a cool middle name. Its sounds so regal. :)
Hey I think Audie is a cool name. Everyone who reads this should put pressure on this woman to reconsider the name. Please.
-Jessie
oops no wait its not me
I once knew an 80 year old man named Audie. :) For real.
I'm entering this kinda late...but anyway...Yes, Olivia is 2 and Madison 1. I like all those names! It is hard to come up with just 1 name!
When did Jessie start reading your blog?? Did you write that on there for him?? lol! I'm sorry I just don't like Audie. Sorry Jessie. To quote my Anthropology teacher, "names are important for self-definition". So I think a name that means intoxicating is awesome! My first born son would be named John Elliot. or John Eliot. Can't decide on one "l" or two. Anyways, my possible future husband will just have to deal with it :)
Jessie came to the library and read a little of it...lol...no I didn't write it for him, crazy lady! It was kind of weird when he started reading parts about him that I never expected him to read...lol
