Weekend stuff

I wasn't very creative with the title today, I know. :) I'm barely awake this morning but I'm here in body anyway! We had a good weekend. Yesterday was Noelle's birthday party. She was SO cute...she was wearing a little princessy-ballerina-y outfit and Amber gave her a tiara to wear. It was adorable. And I saw baby Cole! He has gotten so big since I saw him last! He was so, so cute, I could hardly tear myself away from him when it was time to leave. We had a good time. There was pizza and cake galore and the kids had fun annoying everyone with those little "Wwwweeeehh" noisemaker things in their goodie bags! It was like a mini-family reunion.
Saturday I took the plunge and got my hair cut. Its a good bit shorter now but I like it. Its straight today, but when its curly it looks a little Bozo-ish haha. Hopefully some of that curly serum goop will help it out a bit when I wear it curly again. Getting it cut wasn't bad, it was the waiting that sucked. Note to self: the Wal-mart hair place is extremely busy on Saturday and not very well-staffed. Never ever go on Saturday again. End note to self. Seriously, there were only 2 ladies doing hair there and a slew of customers. And most of them needed a very intricate hairstyle that took forever to do. Lily and I just got trimmed and out of there. I'm sure the people behind us were very thankful. I try to do what I can. :P
What else? Jessie and I kept the nursery yesterday during church (morning sermon). We had Seth and Lily, Brayden (2 years old, Tasmanian devil), Katherine (6, likes to throw things at Jessie) and Shelby (3, cute as a button). I know 5 kids doesn't seem like a lot for 2 adults, but I was exhausted by the time we got out of there! We painted and colored. Shelby took to me (and me to her) and sat in my lap for a long time, and everytime she'd start to color, she'd look at me and go, "I can't colow" (color) so I ended up "colowing" about 6 pictures for her. haha Brayden was all over the place, as is his usual way. Katherine was hitting golf balls, but baseball style, with her mini-golf putter - at Jessie. Poor Jessie...but its his own fault. He usually lets them throw beanbags at him when he keeps the nursery, but this time he got smart and hid them. Haha! Katherine looked intently for them, but never found them (lucky Jessie!). Seth and Lily were really good, except when we got down the little mini-brooms (there were only 2), they all started fighting over them...tug-of-war matches ensued more than once. But we were all in one piece after church was over, so I guess that's all that matters!! Don't Jessie and I sound like great babysitters? haha

Glad you had a good weekend. I'll have to come and see your hair. I think we're going to try and come to the library at least twice a month on Fridays(that's what David said anyway). They really enjoyed the storytime Laura...incase you read this! :) Sorry to leave Laura a comment on your blog. Anyway, sounds like a real experience in the nursery! It sounds like my days sometimes.

Can you imagine back in the old days all those people having 5, or even 10 kids in a row? And those poor mothers had to cook every meal and sew and plant gardens and stuff! Man! LOL

Yeah, I know I definitely don't need to have 3 more of my own. I think I'm going to see if we can start taking them outside some. Being cooped up in that little room was probably some of the casue of all the mania. :) I'm glad the kids enjoyed the storytime! Laura's a good entertainer!

I really enjoyed the week-end and Noelle's party, too. She did look precious, didn't she? Lily and Seth are both so cute (and very well-behaved-You and Jessie have done great!!) I really enjoyed seeing everybody. I didn't know Danielle was coming-that was a nice surprise. Her boys are both cute! It really was like a family reunion. I hate that Jody and Kim weren't there. I wish we could all get together more often. Also, I think it is great that you and Jessie keep the nursery. That can be wild! Aunt Daphne

I wouldn't have made it back then either! Especially not with 10 kids!
Danielle's boys are really cute. I can't believe how BIG they've gotten! They were teeny-weeny the last time I saw them! I wish we could all get together more often too. I hadn't seen Emily or Carrie in forever either. Emily wouldn't let me take Cole home with me. He was so precious!!

By the way, your hair did look really good yesterday. I didn't realize that you had cut it until I read your blog-it was so wild yesterday with so many people. Cole was very good when we took him home with us. He slept all the way home, then woke up and ate, then just played and looked around until Emily got there. He is really soft and precious! are those amanda's kids? Well I guess Mama won't be checking this blog anymore lol, so I'll just ask her. I'm pretty sure that is a girl I went to school w/ tho. She named her daughter Piper and she was pregnant again last time I saw her. Paisley is a weird name. It would be okay I guess, except for I hate paisley patterns! UGH!
