Dog Days of Spring
Last night, on the way home, my truck started overheating (again)...so I called Jessie and told him and he asked me if I thought I could make it home. I was pretty close, almost to our church, so I had the brilliant idea of stopping at the church, letting the truck cool off and riding my bike the rest of the way home.
My house is only about 5 minutes from the church (driving), so I thought, "easy". It was fine at first...and then came THE DOGS!
There was a bulldog and some other dog...I didn't stop to look. I was praying and pedaling as fast as I could!!! Man, those dogs were fast. Luckily, after a couple of minutes (it seemed like an eternity!) I got to a downhill slope so I coasted down the hill and they couldn't keep up. Oh, I was never so happy to see my house!
And also, I couldn't breathe when I got home! I guess I had pedaled my little heart out...I couldn't even speak! haha Jessie was like, "Are you alright?" Never again, I told him!
Then when Jessie drove me back to the church to pick up the truck, I didn't even see them. I guess they only chase poor defenseless bike riders!

Oh, I would've been scared to death too! I'm glad you made it home! I can't stand it when dogs do that.
Did you life flash before your eyes? :)
That is so scary. I'm glad you made it. It's hard to know where a safe place to ride bikes is.(grammatically incorrect sentence)
Love, Mom
